Sitemaps: URLs In Multiple Sitemaps

URLs that are in more than one XML Sitemap.

This isn’t necessarily a problem, but generally a URL only needs to be in a single XML Sitemap.

How to Analyse in the SEO Spider

To populate this filter the ‘Crawl Linked XML Sitemaps’ configuration must be selected via ‘Config > Spider > Crawl’, and post ‘Crawl Analysis‘ must be performed.

View URLs with this issue in the ‘Sitemaps’ tab and ‘URLs In Multiple Sitemaps’ filter, and export all URLs using the ‘Export’ button.

View which XML Sitemaps link to pages using the lower ‘Inlinks’ tab and filtering the ‘All Link Types’ filter to ‘XML Sitemap’.

Bulk export URLs in multiple XML sitemaps via ‘Bulk Export > Sitemaps > URLs in Multiple Sitemaps Inlinks’.

Review URLs that are in multiple XML Sitemaps and remove where appropriate so they are referenced in a single XML Sitemap.
