AMP: Non-200 Response

back to issues overview

Non-200 Response

AMP URLs which do not respond with a 200 ‘OK’ status code.

These will include URLs blocked by robots.txt, no responses, redirects, client and server errors.

How to Analyse in the SEO Spider

View URLs with this issue in the ‘AMP’ tab and ‘Non-200 Response’ filter, and export all URLs using the ‘Export’ button.

View URLs that link to non-200 responses using the lower ‘Inlinks’ tab and export them in bulk via ‘Bulk Export > AMP > Non-200 Response Inlinks’.

Read our tutorial on ‘How To Audit & Validate Accelerated Mobile Pages (AMP)‘.

What Triggers This Issue

This issue is triggered when AMP URLs do not respond with a 200 ‘OK’ status code. For example:

https://www.screamingfrog.co.uk/technical-seo/

Has the amphtml:

<link rel="amphtml" href="https://www.screamingfrog.co.uk/amp/technical-seo/">

But https://www.screamingfrog.co.uk/amp/technical-seo/ is blocked by robots.txt.

How To Fix

Ensure AMP URLs are accessible, that they can be crawled and respond with a 200 status code for both users and search engines.
