Search Console: Indexable URL Not Indexed

back to issues overview

Indexable URL Not Indexed

URLs found in the crawl that are indexable, but are not indexed by Google and won’t appear in the search results.

This can include URLs that are unknown to Google, or those that have been discovered or crawled but not indexed, and more.

How to Analyse in the SEO Spider

View URLs with this issue in the ‘Search Console’ tab and ‘Indexable URL Not Indexed’ filter, and export all URLs using the ‘Export’ button.

To populate this filter the Google Search Console API must be connected via ‘Config > API Access > Google Search Console’ and ‘Enable URL Inspection’ selected under the ‘URL Inspection’ tab.

The coverage column details why a ‘URL is not on Google’ despite it being Indexable.

What Triggers This Issue

This issue is triggered when URLs found during a website crawl are deemed indexable but are not indexed by Google, meaning they won’t appear in search results.

How To Fix

Review URLs not indexed by Google and carefully consider whether they are important.

For those that are important and should be indexed, review their ‘coverage’ description and how they could be improved to be crawled, indexed and ranked.
